A little spat over 45 minutes weekly SALT provision when they had already agreed to a separate 45 minutes on a specific programme and the other SALT provision (would have compromised on 30 tbh) but I think that was more for show than actual intent as within minutes of solicitor reiterating the need to specify they'd agreed to everything.

I can't believe it, I have my life back at last, it's been a hellish 18 months but we've got there today.

The LEA has been trounced, ds's provision is assured until he's 19 which was always the aim and it signposts the way for post 19 specialist provision too rather than relying on the pathetic Connexions service here.

Absolutely over the moon Grin

Fantastic news - really pleased for you and ds. Well done for fighting the good fight.

So pleased for you insanity. Well done for sticking to it!

I quite often think of the parents of children with SEN who might have SN themselves (I come across them often at work), and I wonder who fights for them. I know there are agencies that help, but it's not the same as a mum on a mission is it? Shameful of LA's that any parent would need to fight for provision for their DC.

I say sue away insanity.

Really good news. Well done. Grin

Shame that it wasn't obvious that being right would make you lucky in the day, and a shame it requires quite so much talent, hard work, research, time, money and practice to succeed in getting adequate provision, though.

Wonderful news! Well done to you!
I know from (bitter) personal experience how hard it is to take on the LA.
Sharon Hodgson - come over and read these boards - it shouldn't and doesn't have to be like this. If the LA used the resources that they spend on"bullying" parents, then we would all be able to get the provision that our children need, without having to battle so hard for it!
