Also as a reminder you can apply via the Bank Worker's Charity for grants for equipment, private assessments and therapy, travel costs to assessments etc.

A lot of other industries have similar charities as well.

Thanks for that link Ben. I have passed it on to the chair of our local ASD support group in case she didn't know about it.

Thanks Ben10 - if we ever get a dx this will be very useful!

school I applied to the Bank Worker's Charity before any dx for private OT assessment and therapy. They are really helpful.

Ooh that's interesting. We are hopefully close to getting a dx now we've moved to another county. Have tried googling to see what sort of things they can help with but not found much info.

We've had the OT assessment, 15 sessions of Sensory Integration Therapy, a large potty chair £245 Shock and travel to various appointments. It all depends on what can help you and your family.

Blimey - that sounds good. At this moment any little thing would help so I will definitely look into this. Thanks again.

I think that this time last year I was so pleased to have their help as it validated that someone believed in me and someone cared whether my child had difficulties. Getting that assessment was the springboard to getting him his full ASD dx. If I had relied on the NHS CDC I would still not know that there was anything wrong as they had said that there was nothing.

All the best.
