Autism and "fermented foods"

Hi there, I heard this radio programme earlier and there were two mothers discussing the difference that fermented foods had made to their children. I have no experience of autism or fermented foods, so I don't know if it's of interest to anyone, but thought I'd post anyway.

I will look at that later but I have heard a couple of things recently about the effect of probiotics on the brain (due to the brain/gut link), did you know most of our serotonin is found in the gut? I think gut flora is going to be a growing area for research in neurology and other fields. A French scientist has done some interesting research on anxiety and gut flora.

...Off to eat some live, organic yoghurt.

Yes wiggly, I think that was the link, between serotonin and the gut flora. May be of interest to others as well as those with DC who have autism. Do you think it would be ok to put this in chat as well, bit more traffic?

The GAPs diet talks a lot about this (and recommends eating a lot of fermented foods)
