Thanks, SallyBear. Shame my cheapo package doesn't stretch to Sky Atlantic. I haven't seen Game of Thrones yet, either. Sad

Lots of gratuitous sex and violence (Think they go hand in hand). DH watches it, and I just MumsNet while it's on! Smile

Ah, but I've read all the books! It's not fair, I read them years ago, it's my type of gratuitous sex and violence. Grin

coff33pot · 12/04/2012 23:28

Keeping I hate to tell you but that link was for 2008.....I jumped at it lol to see if I could get there Grin

WhereEaglesDare · 12/04/2012 23:34

it a brilliant film and she is someone to be admired!!!! Such a strong, smart individual who has/is going still through the life with head held up. She invented so many things, wrote few books, she is a great speaker and on top of that she is trying to give as much as she can info on how she sees things and how she sees and feels world from her perspective. She has h-f-autism....

keepingupwiththejoneses · 12/04/2012 23:42

She is there this year, I know she is, will try and find the right one.

keepingupwiththejoneses · 12/04/2012 23:44

Here we go! The uni is just outside liverpool, Edge hill in Ormskirk. www.edgehill.ac.uk/events/2012/06/15/conference-addressing-autism-asperger-s-syndrome

coff33pot · 13/04/2012 00:26

Liverpool! :(

Eloise73 · 13/04/2012 01:35

I'm on the waiting list for this conference, I love Temple, she had taught me so much and I've learned more from her books and talks than anyone else - and it's great having a female with ASD as a role model as Our daughter has it too.

keepingupwiththejoneses · 13/04/2012 12:22

Me too Eloise, the tickets sold out really quick. Sorry Coff33, guess Liverpool is too far! I am hoping to go to Edge hill next September to do a degree in working with families and communities! It is one of those uni's that do all the strange degree's, mostly because it has a high number of mature students compared to the other 2 in Liverpool.

coff33pot · 13/04/2012 12:29

I would really like to see her but that is hours and hours away from me. I think my mission on sn awareness down here is going to involve a 50ft pole on Lands End with flashing lights and a bloody great flag on it saying "Oi !!! what about us!! Grin

I am trying to see if I can make the Tony Attwood one if I can again a huge trek but closer lol

keepingupwiththejoneses · 13/04/2012 12:31

I have been told they send out dvd's of the conference with the notes I have requested if I don't get to go, I could make you a copy Smile

coff33pot · 13/04/2012 12:41

oooooh! yes please! :)

Fingers crossed that you do get to go though! You can give us your views when you have been :)
