"Little blue, little blue, took his mommies fountain pen and broke it in two - the ink it squirted in the water - WOW! His mommies got a blue boy now!" [bugrin]
Dh sings that one - it's a song from one of his favourite childhood programmes apparently. here
Good luck for Tuesday Coff33 and Blueboy.
I have a very poorly ds2 - temp of 38.5, weak, wobbly, shaky, pain in his chest etc
Doc said he thinks viral, but we're keeping a very close watch on him, being slightly paranoid by the several atypical pnemonia presentations he's had over the past few years. I really thought he'd grown out of it after he didn't get it this winter.
So, good job we didn't have much planned for the holidays (boys only broke up yesterday).
Ds1 will be 10 - TEN YEARS OLD!
on Tuesday and Amazon and the Royal Mail have between them conspired to not deliver his presents, which stoopidly I put all in one order.
Have to speak to sorting office at 7am tomorrow and if its not there, Amazon will send them again on express delivery, but they may not arrive until lunch time on his birthday. Of course this won't help when ds1 expects the same birthday morning he's had every year for the past 9 years and only has a set of books to open.
Dh and ds1 are taking the Microsoft Technology Associate Qualification together. They're going to work on it for a set number of hours a week and then take the exam. Part of our plan for him to build up a portfolio of useful work-related qualifications as a back up to mainstream education - just in case. Hoping this will mean that eventually he will always be able to find programming/development. This one is just a test really to see if he will be properly engaged and stick with it.
Had a meeting with the SENCO re the proposed/draft statement yesterday morning and it went really well. School are happy with the content and with how I want it quantified and specified. We went through each of my amendments and were in agreement with them all.
She's advised me to just send them in under minor amendments, rather than ask for a meeting, and see what happens. So, fingers crossed. Am pretty sure the LEA won't change them all, but maybe its worth a try?
Next battle is visiting secondary schools and meeting their SENCOs etc.
