through the grapevine I have heard you need to be on HRC or HRM.

They have clarified how they decide whether the child's additional needs qualify here. This doesn't even mention DLA. I did read this somewhere myself but I wonder if it is just a rumour that has spread?

tbh I feel it's a rumour, just was waiting to hear what others said.

But my DD is on Middle DLA (care) whereas my friends DD got the high rate, whereas my DD disability is more severe and we can have an horrendous time with her....I also got told that you got given the high rate if you have to see to your child in the night (for other reasons than just not being able to stay asleep or waking very early) so it would be unfair to not give it to those on Middle rate as a lot of people are not getting the correct rate
