M Absoud Guys hospital
Can anyone tell me what this doctor's specialism is? I'm a bit confused as I though I was waiting for an appointment with the neurodisability team at Guys under Dr Baird but the appt was cancelled and the new letter mentions this name instead and the development team.
Have googled the new name but none of the stuff coming up seems related to ASD/APD/Dyspraxia/SPD type stuff which is what I want. It's all things to do with head injuries, MS, and epilepsy - none of which is remotely relevant to DS. Just thought someone here might be able to shed a little more light for me.
Are the development and neurodisability clinics at Guys 2 different depts or one and the same? Does anyone know?
Also cheeky ASD outreach called today to discuss DS's annual statement review - they haven't fully implemented the one finalised post tribunal in Jan yet!!!! (Staff illness seems to be the flavour de jour of excuses at the mo from a variety of depts). Told em this and that I was not expecting a new review until early 2013.
I'm sure I'm entitled to more than 24 hours notice of a meeting of this nature aren't I? DS is finally starting to do OK and would do brilliantly if only all the support Tribunal ordered was in place. If they try and cut provision that is not yet even properly in place I'LL DO MY NUT!
Does anyone else get tired of the constant wading through treacle even when things are going well?
