Well date for all reports to be in for SA was yesterday, had email to say they are still waiting for medical and s services report to come in. Haven't had any dealings with ss so that should be a short report!

Am so anxious it is awful, DS 13 hasn't been in school since Christmas and is barely leaving the house. On a positive he has taken to sitting out in the garden with his laptop during the last few days. Doesn't sound much but this is huge for DS!

Just wanted to update and have a bit of a hand hold while waiting..

Holding your hand...

I wish you the best of luck and hope the decision goes in your favour. It goes without saying you must appeal in the event the LEA say no to assessment.

sazale · 27/03/2012 17:43

Thanks guys, I'm not good at waiting! I'm defo going to appeal if say no. School think should be a defo to assess but I'll believe it when I see it!!

I'll hold your hand - try and keep a positive mindset, its really hard I know, but 'thoughts become things and all that' Wink and this comes from someone who was convinced her ds wouldn't get SA let alone a Statement, but has this very afternoon received his proposed statement by email after getting both on the first try.

(Its woolier than a highland sheep in winter of course, but I'll soon lick it into shape. Grin)

Sazale I am terrible at waiting too and this is really making me anxious and causing me to come out in a stress rash!

They agreed to assess and now am waiting to see if they are going to issue a statement or not.

Been through system with my youngest DS but don't know if it worse this time or that am just worn down!

Well done moosemama! Fantastic news!

Thanks Atilla too :)

Good luck! sending you good vibes! Grin

Thanks starfish, I am keeping everything crossed for a positive outcome for you too.

I was just the same, worrying about the outcome had me stressed up to the eyeballs and feeling really rough.

Of course the statement we have is as woolly as a sheep's backside, so it's not over yet, but at least we have something to work with now.

Good Luck! Smile

Just been informed that LEA have agreed to statutory assessment!!! Any news for you, starfish? Moosemama, I'm dreading having to review any statement (if we get one)! How are you meant to know what your child needs in there!!??

starfish71 · 30/03/2012 16:30

Fantastic Sazale!! Great news :)

Still waiting this end, checking my emails and phone obsessively! Have had a copy of EP report and must say she has done a great job in setting out DS and his difficulties, so good in fact I got a bit upset reading it. So I really hope they give us a statement and not a note in lieu.

Really happy to hear your news! Hope you enjoy a Wine later!

That's great news Sazale. Smile

I'll keep sending lots of luck and positive vibes for your dd to get a statement and of course for a positive outcome for starfish as well. Smile

Starfish - an huge percentage of our statement has been lifted directly from the EP report, so a comprehensive and detailed EP report is a positive sign.
