Can anyone help or explain?

DS has just started the breakthrough program and he has to toss a bean bag up above his head in front of him, allow it to fall, catch it and repeat, whilst at the same time following it with his eyes and head, or just his eyes.

In all cases, regardless of the details of the exercise, he follows it from about shoulder or eye level up, but when the beanbag falls below his shoulders he stops following it then restarts when the beanbag rises above here again.

Any ideas why this might be?

He is saying (which I kind of find incredible but presume true) that he isnt aware that he is stopping like this, ie he thinks he is tracking properly.

If helpful he does have some visual processing, cognitive processing, dyslexia, mild coordination type issues.

Thanks
