DS, 5 ASD, responds so much better to males than females, myself being the exception as Mummy. His Nanny and Grandma are just there to provide sweets/biscuits etc, he ignores his aunties, but Grandads and Uncles are faves. Luckily at the assessment unit he attends, he has a male TA (Ds's best friend :) ) they even moved this TA with Ds when he moved classes. It said in the home school book that DS had worked with an Ed Psych yesterday, I wrote back that I hope DS had co-operated with Ed Psych,as he doesn't with the SALT(female). Yes he did was the reply, very well indeed.Ed Psych was male and quite funnily DS only kicked off when Ed Psych had to go. He actually commented,"Well this is a first, they normally want me to go" :o I know the story would have been totally different if a female Ed Psych would have turned up.
So, was just wondering do your children have a preferred sex that they respond better to?
