sources to find a suitable school for ASD DS

Could anyone help? I live in the london borough of Richmond and we are due to receive our draft statement for DS (ASD NVerbal) hopefully next week. We have chosen a suitable state ASD unit for reception entry but there may not be a vacancy in which case I will need to look either out of borough or try for an independent place. I cannot seem to find a book or website list of special needs schools both state and independent which show for example schools in the area that are for ASD children. Is there such a book, or a website that has the information that I have missed?

There is a list on the NAS site. It's not comprehensive but it does have a lot listed.

You might want to consider the Independent Hillingdon Manor from where you are, and let your LA know this. A place in the local one may well be magiked up.

The Isbi website is quite useful, click on the Advanced Search tab and you can select by special schools by SEN.

Thanks Starlightdickenzie and also krystalklear - had not heard of Hillingdon Manor and the Isbi website has also thrown up some schools I had not come accross.
