has anyone had experience of this in their lives. My ds contracted it at the age of 3 weeks. We were later told that after spending 7days in hospital, he would make a full physical recovery, but due to him being so young, the consultant could not guarantee that he would not suffer from behaviour and developmental problems.Needless to say WE ARE SO GRATEFUL TO STILL HAVE HIM WITH US, AND WE ARE SO PROUD OF HIM. He is nearly seven now, and although he has been diagnosed recently as being on the Autistic Spectrum, there is never a day goes by that we don't realise just how special he is and how lucky we are to have him.

No sorry.

My Daughter Ellie had Phneumoccal meningitis when she was 8 months old (her website link is further down on the list of threads)

sorry anniebear, I thought that I had answered you, but for some reason my message didn't get through. I do hope she made a full recovery. It is an evil illness isn't it. I have never been so scared in all my life. I am sure that you were the same.
