I am posting to request some help. I am asking on behalf of a family I came across in a professional capacity but was unable to help with this particular issue.
The family is seeking a secondary school in the Surrey area for their daughter. She has Down syndrome with mild/moderate learning difficulties. Her academic attainments are an area of relative strength. The girl is in a school for children with moderate learning difficulties but learning nothing and being bullied. Her mother is considering other options - another MLD school, mainstream with unit etc. I do not have local knowledge. Does anyone have good experiences with any schools in the area?
