Jesus wept! I just do NOT understand it. I have read and re-read the instructions and read and re-read the Cerebra guidelines for this part and I still am not clear on what I need to put!!!

do I need to literally list every single thing DS1 needs assistance with at home and when we go out?

so much is covered in the rest of the form that this bit just seems odd.

are they looking for specific activities that aren't covered in the rest of it? or what?

it's really odd :-S

have filled it in with similar things to you angel, fingers crossed it'll be ok

I filled it in with activities not covered elsewhere, like cubs, swimming for outside, saying that he needed 1:1, and put lots of 'constantly' and 'all the time' wherever appropriate. Rubbish form, designed by an idiot with no idea about developmental disorders.

I agree with EllenJane. I thought of all the activities an NT child of the same age might do (going to friends, cinema, youth club, shopping etc etc) and then detailed the help he needs from getting ready, getting there, constant supervision, help with toileting etc etc
I added extra sheets and used the cut and paste option as the "needs" for each section were virtually identical.

I just filled in the three boxes, but it cant hurt to use more if you can i suppose. I have only just sent our form in, so dont even know if we will qualify or not yet, but i wanted to help out, as i had received help with that section so understand that its not exactly self explanitory

hope you feel better about it now xx

I'm about to write a report stating why I think that MR for Care isnt enough. I'm not looking forward to that bit at all!
