Just wanted to know if there are any MN on here who have kids with a Dx of ASD or are HI that live in or around Milton Keynes. I have two deaf kids and two with ASD (DS1 has Aspergers). I thought it might be nice to meet up for a coffee. Anyone interested?? ?

I am in Hertfordshire but I have met some good friends at a local support group. I have found one in MK.

Thanks chuckeyegg. I can't always get out in the evenings as DH abroad a lot. I know The Walnuts School, it's next door to my big two's SS. I have kept in touch with some people from Hanen and Early Bird, so I may try and organise something locally!

Hi, we're in MK, son just turned 4 had diagnosis of ASD in Oct, so all still pretty new to us. So might turn into more questions than chat, not great for you! Have no idea how private messaging etc happens on here, but feel free to and I'll work it out!! We're on Hanen at the mo and waiting for Earlybird, let me know if you organise anything! x

Hi Surviving! My DS3 is 5. We did Hanen in 2010, and Earlybird last year. Where in MK are you? We live in SBEnd. Not sure how to message privately either TBH!!! Are you pursuing a Statement of SEN? Great to connect. Smile

We're in Bletchley so not far. Just in the process of putting together application for stat assessment (after false start b4 Christmas, grrr!!) fingers crossed. Hoping to at least attempt mainstream in Sept. Have three kids, DD1 is 7, DS2 is the 4yr old and DS3 is about to turn 2 (if I've got the abbreviations right, lol! Can you tell I'm still a newbie?!!) Hats off to you with four!!

DS3 (number 4!) is moving from Priory Rise to The Redway after Easter. MS was too hard for him as he doesn't have language. We tried, he tried and the school tried but eventually we all agreed that a SS was a better bet.
My big two went to Rickley, and did really well, they are now at Secondary School. DS2 (no. 3) goes to Priory Rise as I wanted a school nearer to us.

Ha, ha, oops!! Well I was nearly right with the numbers! Blush

My sister went to Redway, years ago, is a lovely school, I'm sure he'll do brilliantly.

I haven't got a clue about the numbering system either! I just think that seeing as I have one girl and three boys, then they should be numbered accordingly! Wink

Hey Surviving! I went online and discovered how to PM you. The joys of Mumsnet Talk for the iPhone is that I can't see if there is a facility to inbox people!! So please check your inbox! Smile
