Starting Secondary School Thread

Anyone else waiting to hear what school they got?

Thanks Indi, hadn't realised today was THE day until I saw your post. Just checked and YES!!! We got the mainstream high we were hoping for. It's been a really tough "journey" (Hate the use of that word but just feels like we've had to go for miles jumping through hoops for this). Surprisingly emotional when I read it. Must be just a huge sense of relief.

Have you had yours yet?

Should hear at 5:00. Would be very surprised if didn't get my first choice, seeing as I chose a 'bad' school that we were close to.

But still counting down the minutes hours anyway. :)

I was surprised to find out this morning that DS was nervous. He was worried I would have filled the form in wrong or something.

He isn't however at all bothered by which school his friends go to. I guess they're not really his friends then........ About half of them have applied to the same school as us.

Got school I wanted :)

Hi Indigo, Glad you got it. Was thinking exactly the same about choice too. Know it's a good school but never certain if it's the right one for my DC until we give it a try. Fingers crossed. x

Glad to hear your dcs both got the schools you wanted. Hoping everything goes really well and they both thrive in their new schools.

We're just starting on the path of choosing which school for ds1. Its so hard to know what to do for best.
