....only found out yesterday at parents evening so not sure they would have even told us if not for that appointment.

Its a bit pointless now tbh as he is making progress BUT I asked him what he had had to do and he said;
say the letter names
say the letter sounds
read a bit of his school reading book

Is that it? Is that all they do???

Am a bit Shock is thats really it...we have waited for a long time for this appt...have any of your kids had these assessments? What did they do?

Becs, - I don't expect many of our kids would be able to give comprehensive honest feedback about an appointment like that.

The cynic in me says that yes, it was probably a rubbish assessment/appointment but you don't know that for sure.

Do you know who specifically carried it out and what their credentials are?

No idea star As I said, we wouldnt have known anything about it if not for PE appt yesterday!

I take your point, ds1 may not have remembered it all....

DD also had a spelling test and a Blending and segmenting test. :)
