What might DD want for her birthday?

She'll be 14. Aspergers (fairly mild-ish-sometimes) Virtually no likes or hobbies.

She wants a laptop but that's too expensive. I'm thinking £60-ish.

I'm stuck.

does she read? (for pleasure!)

is it your dd who has recently had the days organised by school with horses etc? (sorry if not, can't keep up with name changes sometimes)

if so - is she still enjoying that? woudl a day as a helper/behind the scenes person at the local stables/rescue centre/zoo work? most of them will do 'experiences' and that might be worth looking into?

posh haircut?
clothes? (even if they are not 'special' - she might like another of her favourites, for eg, so that she has more comfortable stuff)

Does she like music? would an ipod please her :)

TisPityShesAWhore · 29/02/2012 13:09

good guess silver!

maybe something horsey - although she doesn't want riding lessons. will look into zoo days.
She has an ipod touch (possibly the best present ever for both DDs, got them a few years ago and both have used them loads).

A kindle?

TisPityShesAWhore · 29/02/2012 14:38

I so wish she'd want a kindle. I adore mine. But she doesn't do reading. I don't think she's read a book since she was 6. I'm always amazed she can actually read.

She is impossible.

HUGE giant fleecy blanket with something horsey on. Big grown up box of choccies, credit to download more songs on her ipod or a voucher for the shop of her choice to go shopping with mum followed by lunch :)

Catsdontcare · 29/02/2012 18:17

I tunes voucher?

TisPityShesAWhore · 29/02/2012 20:14

I suspect she'd really like a dachshund puppy of her own. But that would be more £££ than the laptop. although tempting.
