I'm a parent governor at my ds special school,I've just come back from a memorial service for a twelve year old who died suddenly two weeks ago. We also lost a 6 year old before Christmas who was in the same class.

It's so sad.

The staff were so upset - there was a balloon release in school garden, every pupil and staff member had a balloon to release, it was very moving.

Give your children an extra hug tonight.

It is so sad. I think when ou have children in special school it really does bring it home to you how special our children. DS's school also lost a young girl over the Christmas holidays who died suddenly.
