Have never posted here before but dd's new swimming teacher(first lesson today) asked me if she had an additional needs, which she doesn't currently.

Have basically just switched her to private swimming lessons as she is struggling with swimming. She has been having group lessns or a couple of years, but just oesn't seem to be progressing. Watching her with her new teacher today I realised she can do her arms, or her legs but not both together.

Thinking further She also cannot ride her bike without stabilisers, and struggles with a two wheeled scooter as her balance isn't good. She also cannot skip with a rope no matter how hard she tries. Now I realise none of these are "easy" things to do (she is 6.5) but I do think she finds it harder than most.

It has left me wondering if there may be a problem, and if there is anything I should look out for etc...

Thank you for reading!

Not to try to DX by Internet, but have you considered dyspraxia? Does your DD have any problems with organisation or following complex instructions? It might be worth having a look at the Dyspraxia Foundation website even just to rule it out.
