DS has been doing VT at a BO since Christmas (fortnightly with daily exercises) and I wanted to report that I think things are starting to improve already!

We have been doing gross motor stuff tied into RRT, and I noticed for the first time ever that he didn't jump a mile today when I touched his lower back, so the spinal galant reflex (his worst) must be being suppressed. Yay! In fact he let me rub his back and he really liked it, which would have been a complete nightmare for him before :)

His teacher has commented that when he tries his handwriting is now becomming more legible :) and his reading age has gone up 2 years since Sept(!) The clever sausage now has a reading age of 11.5....sorry for the boast, but it's so nice to have something happy to report, rather than worrying about his poor writing and spelling x

School are putting daily Word Wasp into place and he's starting to retain some of his spellings too (mnemonics seem to really help).

Happy :) I am very hopeful he will narrow the gap between writing and everything else ....

Oh, and I've got some supplements (carefully following the other threads) and will start those next week.....

mrsbaffled - do you mind me asking who your BO is?

I am thinking about going to one with DS, but want to choose a good one ...

Thank you.
