i had to take DS to the doctors this morning and he has challenging behaviour that resulted in me haveing to hold him so that he couldnt hit the locum doctor.
She was pretty shocked that ive never been offered any training seeing as he is severly asd with violent tendancies. In the home hes a gentle giant but when things are "not right" away from home eg different doctor, poorly boy then hitting is his default setting.
She said shes going to have to see who she can refer to as shes not sure if this authority offer such training but is concerned as although DS is only 7 he is only a foot shorter than me and very very strong.Has anyone else been offered such a thing cos it does make sense(his teachers are trained and his LSA so why not the parents).
