they've finally got back to me again and are now demanding for me to give proof of income and photocopies to prove dd is on disability living allowance. i think it's getting a bit personal now, can't they just ask the disability living allowance people for the information we supplied to them. i don't want to give photocopies of bank statements, it's nobody elses buisness what i spend at asda, etc. i filled the first form in around about oct but then they sent me a form near dec saying there's a new form to fill out so i did that and now this. dd has severe gastric reflux as well as many other problems, i just wanted help getting extra bed covers. i'm having to wash her bed covers everyday and when she's sick at night before going to sleep we're putting her in blankets which are from when she was in a crib (far too small). it's hard enough dealing with a poorly child but to have to repeatedly give the same information out time and time again is getting to be a right pain.

Hi.
Could you send copies of the front page of any benefit letters [dla, carers, ] and copies of 3 months payslips as proof.
They shouldn't be asking for bank statements thats a bit much isn't it.

I'd fprgoten I'd applied when I ws calle dbyu an advisor, we had nothing like this, and they were lovely, bought us a tumble drier and gave money for day trips etc...

hope this gets sorted for you soon

When i first applied last year, someone came out to visit me,i had to show her copies of ds's dla and my income support etc,to prove that we were on a low income support. They were really really nice people to deal with, dont think of it as them snooping they are just making sure you are entitled to the invaluable help they offer.
