I'm doing a VBA programme with my 4 year old DS. To begin with he was really compliant and very pleased with himself for all the praise etc. However now I when I suggest we play a game he says no as he's got wise to the fact that it's going to be boring and involve me testing him a lot. I have got a consultant but am doing all the teaching myself to save money. She is great at training me in techniques etc but not so great at giving me ideas of how to teach in the natural environment. He is really fed up with flashcards and I feel the taking turns in conversation really false - there has to be a better way of doing this. I hate the wary look he's started giving me when I suggest doing something together. We should be having fun! Any ideas welcome.
