well its now been a year since the SALT diagnosed my dd (10yr) with very severe SLI, she phoned me after doing my dd's review and to her shock there was practially no progress made if anything she has dropped off the percentile chart on somethings compleatly. im still sure that dd needs testing for HF ASD or something like that for she is becomming a nightmare to deal with but the school still wont help, im still waiting for the OT referal that was put in her statement. I am at my wits end, and to top it all off my ds has just been permantly excluded from school ( he has ODD/CD)

DS
Right re the permanent exclusion get on to IPSEA as quick as you can. best time to phone seems to be 7pm. They have an online guide to permanent exclusion which I found very helpful last year when it happened to my 6 year old.
If you are on benefits Levenes solicitors are good.

DD
Then get onto the LEA re the OT remind them your child has a legal right to the OT. Tell them if you have to go private you WILL invoice the LEA if the OT programme is not implemented by X date.
Next stop - GP demand, don't ask for referral to developmental pead, and for GP to chase OT. (A 2 pronged approach).
Write a letter to the OT's boss.
