recommendations wanted - cups with straws

Hi,

I'm trying to get ds1 to drink out of a more 'grown up' cup and have finally got him off the sippy cup onto a lidded cup with a built in straw, but in 2 weeks he has chewed through 2 plastic straw attachments.

Has anyone had success with a lidded cup with a hard straw part that is chew resistant? Would love any recommendations, have a whole drawer of unsuccessful cups already.

thanks

camelbak sports bottles.

here

they do have a silicon soft spout, but you can remove this and underneath is a hard plastic spout.

there is an integral straw (I have removed it from ours, as I want dd1 to tip, and for the liquid to be more free flowing) too. dishwasher proof (although I found the straws didn't really fare well in the dishwasher - seemed ot shrink a bit and be hard to fit), and I find that 3 or 4 will last me a good year or so.

I too went throught he whole range fo cups - could have opened a shop! - but have been using these for a few years now (dd1 was a drink refuser, and has nevr really been much of a chewer, so not fully tested chewability)

good luck!

I hope they work. dd1 has done really well with them, and they are a good compromise, I think, as are not at all babyish (she will be 8 this summer).

I hope they work for you Smile
