Apparently I'm making up ASD symptoms

according to BIL, anyway! Bearing in mind he lives about a mile away, yet has seen him for about 30 minutes in total during the past year.

DH rang him this morning to catch up, and despite admitting he knows nothing about ASD, he feels DS is a 'problem child' with no discipline, and a good smack will sort him out. Hmm And what if he was left with a knife in his hand and stabbed someone?! That makes him a risk to the general public.

All because he hits out in social situations. Oh, and we're benefit scroungers for getting DLA. Apparently 'wouldn't it be nice if we all got free money' - I've offered to drop DS off for an hour so he can see how he is for that hour (wouldn't really do this, not fair on DS) see how 'easy' it is!!!
I am fuming with the man.

What a knob! You must have had steam coming out of your ears!! Angry

I've always suspected he was a knob. Today, I know for sure! He is one of those people who won't ever be swayed on opinion, so it's almost not worth my anger. I asked him if he knew anything about ASD, and he doesn't. And isn't interested in learning anything either. Angry

What a berk!

Well fortunately his opinions dont count and do not warrant considering. Tell him to just stick them where the sun dont shine.............

Many idiots exist.

As long as your partner is supporting you 100% and has given him what for verbally.

sadly, this is not unusual.

twattish, ignorant and wrong, but not unusual.

be happy in the knowledge you (and we here) are far more educated?
