Double buggy for SN 3 year old and 15 month old

Hi

Im in need of some advice as I'm really struggling at the moment. My 3 year old DS can walk but is very unsteady and slow and couldn't walk round town with me so I still need to use a buggy. I also have 15 month old DS2.

My problem is DS1 is starting to look too big for our Maclaren. He looks squashed in and I'm sure in a few months time he will start to resist going in. I really would like a small double buggy but can't find any that don't look too small. He's too unsteady for a buggy board and doesn't understand he has to hold on!

Does anyone have any suggestions of what might work?

Thanks all

Han

I had the same problem...my ds1 (ASD) was 2.5 when ds2 was born and I knew that it would be a long time until ds1 would be prepared/ able to walk any distance, so I needed a double.

I opted for Phil and Teds in the end, and cannot sing its praises highly enough. In fact we still use it now for longer walks even though ds1 is 5. It doesn't take up too much space on the pavement, it's sturdy, amazingly light to push (even now) and ds1 still doesn't look too huge for it (though he's getting there!)

It was quite expensive, but for us a great investment and you can pick them up second hand on ebay and the like

Thanks MaryEllen and Joneses. I've never been keen on phil and teds because it always seemed to me the child in the back couldn't see anything, DS2 has to be in the middle of everything and would hate staring at the back of his big brothers seat. Having said that I've never used one so perhaps I'm totally wrong?

The other one looks interesting but out of my price range sadly, I'm going to need to buy it second hand.
Thanks again

You could do a search on ebay. I would think you could get one cheaper. There are a lot more cheaper ones here
