Half term cant come quick enough!!!!

Im so fed up of the crap that schooldays bring.So far this morning ive been kicked,punched and spat at,a call from transport to say his behaviour is bad and we need to meet,a call from LA about changing schools,a call from HT to say we need to meet,a report from SALT that basically says the same as last one (he wont co operate)....and it not even 10 o clock....... now breath.
Things just getting to me today and i want my lovely little chap back that we get back in the holidays

I understand completely. I have been visiting millions of schools lately, and in answer to my question about progress and assessment they all mention the 'regression' that occurs during the summer holidays, as if it is some kind of fact.

Truth is, my ds makes more progress during the school holidays than any other time. It is much more suited to his learning style and he is inquisitive. Add that to the fact that during school time he doesn't learn anything except how to concentrate on keeping his anxieties pent up for home.

At least, that is how it was when his needs weren't being met. ATM though, everything is hunky dory, but then he is in an independent placement with independent 1:1s on top funded by the sale of our house.

Same here,he doesnt regress during the holidays he really makes leaps and jumps its brill.
I think i must have been a teacher in a previous life cos i LOVE the holidays .
Im looking at a few more schools next week cos the ones they are offering are rubbish.Im looking out off county now(hench all the phonecalls) and the LA are not happy........but im not here to make people happy im here to get the best education for my son,my new mantra .

Well in that case you'll need evidence, so all those phone calls you have just got need to go in writing.

i.e. dear transport, thank you for your call regarding ds and the x incident. followed by I am happy to meet to discuss but please can you forward me an agenda with a proposed outcome' kind of thing.

Im already onto it ,you ladies have taught me well.
