Hi

It's looking like this is what ds might have, does anyone knows what causes this? Is it something at birth? Any advice about this condition would be appreciated, thanks!

There would appear to be a distinct lack of information here. Not your fault.

There are a wide range of issues which can cause a language disorder, which is why Speech and Language Pathology is so complex. If UK speech and language professionals were to follow the guidelines of their USA counterparts then they would probably be better informed, and be better able to provide the information, and support both children and adults need. Have a look at the Wikipedia Speech and language pathology article.

so you could be looking at any of these issues.
Specific Language Impairment (SLI)
Apraxia of Speech
Auditory Processing Disorder
Pragmatic Language Impairment (PLI)
Speech Sound Disorders (SSD)
