I have got a visit for social services to come and assess my ds (asd). He is 6
Has anyone had one of these lately and if so what kind of things do they want to know.
I am interested in direct payments where I can employ someone to take him to beavers or swimming .
However , we do have respite for up to 4 hours a week this includes 2 hrs transport but this arrangement doesnt suit us as we are now being asked for transport costs which would cost us over £30 for 4 hours respite- we live in a rural area and feel we are being unfairly treated.
If anyone has any experience /words of advice I would be grateful.
