StarlightMcKenzie · 16/01/2012 18:16

That stoopid thread that I gave up on ages ago but haunts me on the Threads I'm On page.

was I on it?

Sevenfold · 16/01/2012 18:30

pmsl. Starlight I saw that and thought WTF, that and worthy causes made me feel like a member of the dogs club

outofbodyexperience · 16/01/2012 18:31

link? or clue?
i don't really want a bunfight, but curious.....

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 16/01/2012 18:37

Funny, I've always thought of it as a club that I didn't ask to join, but now I'm in it's full of lovely people. Not sure how to quit, though?

StarlightMcKenzie · 16/01/2012 18:57

It's far too boring for a bunfight. It's circular nonsense. It's the disability affects us all thread.

A hobby? Oh my. I'm going to avoid looking at that. Or at least try to avoid it. I'm not in a great place right now, not sure why, and am not coping well with these type of threads.

cory · 17/01/2012 09:48

Why don't we all switch to tropical fishkeeping instead? Much cheaper and less risk of straining yourself.

I am usually fine with bunfights, but am staying off that thread; it is too boring.

devientenigma · 17/01/2012 09:51

I love it that much my hobby is now my full time job that I do voluntary with overtime and on call !!!

coppertop · 17/01/2012 09:54

It's a wonderful hobby. I so enjoy collecting paperwork and looking for new strategies to try out. I don't understand why others aren't lining up to join in.

coff33pot · 17/01/2012 12:30

of course its a hobby but silly me for picking such an expensive one. All the debate appointments to talk about my "hobby" fullfill my life and working hours. I sleep my hobby, dream my hobby and in the mornings write and photocopy or make phone calls about my hobby to anyone that will listen wether they are interested or not. So you think I have an obsessional nature???

Triggles · 17/01/2012 13:10

tropical fish? and have a fishtank to clean?!?! no thanks!!! Grin

I do have a mind to request they close the thread though. When it reaches a point where someone equates special needs and disabilities to a special interest group, I think it's reached its end point.

StarlightMcKenzie · 17/01/2012 14:16

knitting?

OP posts:
Triggles · 17/01/2012 14:35

Hmmm... I think with all the annoying people we bump into in public, especially those that make nasty comments about DS2, knitting needles should be WELL away from me! Grin

(although actually I do knit... )

Triggles · 17/01/2012 14:36

Right now, my biggest hobby seems to be putting the wipes BACK in the container... DS3's greatest joy currently is pulling all the baby wipes out of the packet. And he ALWAYS manages to find the wipes container. Hmm

AmberLeaf · 17/01/2012 16:07

My flabber was well and truely gasted at that comment!

As if its a choice

Some people just have no idea.

StarlightMcKenzie · 17/01/2012 16:11

Disability is my special interest? It's DS's? Aren't we lucky to have time and resources eh? Many people simple haven't got time for such indulgences.

Oh and annual torture's (reviews) and tribunals, what a blast, better than stamp collecting or even a holiday in the maldives, no wonder then so many of us do it for a hobby.
