It is on Newsnight tonight apparently, I have just seen this message posted in In the News by rhuhama

"By the way for anyone that doesn't know Sue Marsh who was a co author of the Sparatacus Report is being interviewed on Newsnight tonight alongside Chris Grayling. For anyone who has not yet read the report which many believe was influential in the defeat of the Government in the House of Lords yesterday then go and have a look at the blog Diary of a Benefit Scrounger."

Please also contribute to this thread - just to keep the awareness in the general mumsnet readership there. (Some interesting links for us too!)

molepom · 13/01/2012 16:37

At the moment Corn, most of the country will agree with you. They have been nothing but an utter disgrace since they started in power.

molepom · 13/01/2012 16:38

Haven't read all the posts on this thread but are they on about scrapping the DLA for existing people that have it or new claims??

molepom · 15/01/2012 20:07

Existing and new for middle and lower rate payments.

Although I have also read that, middle rate will be the new lower rate and the current lower rate will be abolished - so there is a little confusion from me at the moment.

EITHER WAY it's still going to affect a lot of people in either claims being scrapped or lowered.

sleepyhorse · 15/01/2012 20:26

Oh ok and are they definitely going to scrap it or are they just talking about it?
