He's on fish oils but is there more? It's so hard to find the answers online as I worry it's all selling for profit and not effectiveness IYKWIM.

Can anyone advise?

He's 10 (11 in May) and only just recently diagnosed.

Zinc, magnesium and vitamin B6 are good places to start.

Also make sure your omega is one that is high in EPA not high in DHA.

Thanks Indigo :) I worried for sec folks would all think I'm a hippy!

Is DHA bad then?

My current therapist thinks DHA reduces the effectiveness of EPA.

He thinks vegepa is the best omega.

this is good for zinc and magnesium

I have also heard that St John wort can be effective (though some research says it can make symptoms worse)...so I would only do it with consultation with a herbalist, homeopath or naturapath.

we're currently using omegas and zinc supplements (and vit d, but that's a local quirk) and bathing in epsom salts...

i think it's helping, but sooo difficult to tell. ds's teacher did ask if we'd drugged him at one point though.

Can I ask OP if your child is on medication for ADD? My DS (almost 10) isnt but is really struggling in school and I wonder if I should look at medication to help him.

I wouldn't rule out St Johns wort as it is a natural stimulant and kids with add/adhd react best to stimulants. I know it sounds a bit back to front but stimulants at the correct level actually calm a person with add/adhd down by regulating the electrical impulses in their brain.

Thank you all so much. Dotty he's not on any meds, no, just special measures in school.

I will try all of these suggestions, THANKS.
