Well I was feeling really brave today so I finally posted the letter and emailed a copy to OFSTED.

As many of you will know Dd3 had a horrible time at her old school, no support what so ever and her issues were basically put down to me being an over fussy mother.

When we moved her and she got her Dx I really wanted to complain to someone but it took a while for me to get my head around what I wanted to say.

Anyway Parent Partnership recommended that I write to the Sec of state for education and OFSTED because I hadn't followed the correct complaints procedure so the LA would be unlikely to take any notice.

I couldn't complain to the HT because it was her who was the problem and she has the Governors in her pocket so no point complaining to them!Hmm

Anyway I wrote the letter last week and plucked up the courage to post it todaySmile.

I would like to think that it will cause the woman a load of trouble but I don't suppose it will. Still at least I got it off my chestSmile.

Doubt if you'll get a response. I didn't to me letter years ago.

You'll get a more thoughtful response if you write via your MP.

I think you're wasting your time.

You should have complained to the Board of Governors and when they failed to uphold your complaint you should have complained to the LA. When they failed to uphold your complaint you could then complain to the Local Govt Ombudsman.

That's the correct course of action re complaints about education matters.

Education is an area that the Sec of State has devolved to Local Authorities. The Sec of State will not investigate individual complaints. MPs don't tend to involve themselves as they see this as something your Local Councillor is better suited to deal with.
