Expecting the dreaded call...

It's the first day back at school for DS and I'm just waiting for the call from the school to collect him. In the playground he was huffing, arguing and complaining about being tired despite the early night and I predict a big meltdown in class. Does anyone else feel the same?

not expecting a call (not happened up to yet, hope am not tempting fate Sad ) but DD was so excited about going back to school today i know i'm going to pick up a prickly fireball of shouting, screaming and tears later.

bloody hard work, isn't it?

Yeah the holidays can be awful sometimes with the lack of a routine, but then the first few days back into their normal routine can be even worse. I'm hoping though that he'll be tired out when he comes home as he's been so hyper over the past couple of weeks that I feel really worn out.

Hoping the days aren't as bad as you're expecting, it's awful waiting for that call isn't it?

It's the worst, at one point it was once a week I was being called up, but luckily now that he's a better grasp of the routine at school and the teachers know how to 'deal' with him (and I threatened to move schools as they were demonstrating that they couldn't cope by constantly sending him away) he's not been in too much trouble for a while, but this is the first big holiday he's been back from and his behaviour was awful this morning so I'm a bit worried.

I dread mondays for the same reason. DS1 definitely punchy, this morning and doing his best to annoy me.

Well it's now nearly 4pm so I hope your ds made it through the day, Ihatecbeebies!

Oh you poor thing - i know exactly how you feel. My little boy is still at nursery and last term I had to go and collect him twice a week for three weeks - he only goes in for three mornings a week!!! I've banned everyone from phoning my house when he's at nursery now as I jump every time it goes. My son goes back to nursery tomorrow...and has been a nightmare today (i'm hiding in the shed 'working' he he!). I hope his day went better than you thought? Good luck tomorrow x

Got through the day without a single phone call! I'm over the moon, and DS is happilly and quietly playing on his own in his room too - something he's not done all holiday!
