hi, anyone know how to argue the case if a childs medical needs are struggling to be met in a school due to the complex needs of the child but meeting their educational needs - just ! would like to try and get the placement moved but the only other school would be a non- maintained school which i have already fought for thro tribunal and lost as educational needs were being met.

That's a tough one, but not impossible.

Why is the only other school a non-maintained school though?

What does the school have to do extra to meet the medical needs?

How are the medical needs interfering with his learning?

because no other school in the area can meet all needs and yes they have a medical centre on site; and co-ordinate all the medical care around the team at the school, lack of provision of equipment is now needing medical intervention to correct physical issues.

Has the non-maintained school got an on-site medical centre?

yes on site nurses and doctors on call who assess and if necessary either treat or send to hospital
