Hopefully most know the situation with DS and school, the school he is still registered at but fears to attend for issues the school won't accept, for the last 2 year.
Anyway over Christmas I got a letter off the pead at the school to say he was leaving and since DS doesn't attend that school anymore do I want to be transfered to someone else or follow him miles out of my way!! He's never been helpful and the miles out the way is 10 mins by car!!
The home tutor also phoned me to say he heard DS was not attending the school anymore so instead of our plan to gradually reintergrate him just have all the sessions at home.
School emailed me in Sept with no further contact until last week asking me to get in touch which I haven't as yet.
Yesterday in Asda I bumped into one of the parents of a kid in DS class and she was saying the xmas card list had his name on but in brackets it said but he never comes in!!
This is the email, should I respond to it:

Hi (first name),

Happy New Year, I hope you are all well.

We still have DS's tuition slot at 1pm each day allocated for him.
Please let me know if you wish to take this up, we will keep it available should he be able to come in.
I am always available should you wish to discuss any placement or his work at home or tuition, please get in touch.

Regards

(first name)

Do you think I should say anything about any of the above as well in my response? How should I respond? TIA

Do you want him to be reintegrated?

StarlightMcKenzie · 08/01/2012 21:00

Can you 'take up the slot' but at home whilst he develops the relationship with the tutor?

What do you want? Do you want him to stay at home?

Do you think that this whole arrangement is orchestrated to deny him an education at all because one that works would be too expensive/inconvenient etc.?

agree with jandy and star. are you happy with school/paed saying he doesn't attend anymore? if you are agreed that he isn't attending that school, would have thought that would necessitate an amendment to his statement to reflect the situation accurately. star is rather more expert on the techical side of this than me, mind!
