Accessing DS school records

Does anyone know if we are entitled to access DS school records.

We are having a battle atm with EWO and LEA over DS non attendance due to anxiety, we(and the hospital) claim that DS head teacher was sent a copy of Child Psychology report saying where DS strengths and weaknesses lie but nothing has been done.

Head told me in a phone call that she had the report on her desk but didnt offer to put him forwards for Action or Action Plus,(we werent aware that he could access this at the time) so at the moment there is a dispute between us, and the Education Authority.

Does anyone know how we would go about accessing the reports.

Thanks from a very stressed out Jenk1!!!!

You can write to the chairman of the governors at any time to ask for it. You do not have to go into school to see it.

The school should reply within 15 school days (that does not include holidays or weekends). They may ask you to pay for the photocopying (sometimes this can cost 10p per sheet).
