dd2 stood up and climbed on the sofa!

dd2 who is 4.5 pulled herself up at the sofa for the first time ever on her own today and then climbed on it!! I was on the phone at the time and the person on the other end was probably deafened by me cheering! The standing up on its own would have been great, but I just couldn't believe it when she actually put her knee on it and climbed up
Sorry, just having a proud moment!

Well done to dd2!

Wow! I know how you feel Caroline5 - pretty much exactly - spooky coincidence but my dd (3) climbed onto the sofa today for the first time ever too!! (she has only been pulling herself up on it for about a week).

Don't wish to steal your thunder in any way but it was too much of a coincidence not to mention it.

Amazing feeling isn't it?

chonky · 15/01/2006 20:38

We're good thanks Caroline5. She's put on 2.5lbs in a month(!!), so I'm really chuffed. I think the breakthrough has been that she's starting to be able to swallow drier foods like biscuits/ rusks. Still a long way to go on the eating skills front, but it's a big change all the same .
When are you coming out to play ?

Caroline5 · 15/01/2006 20:46

Great news about the 2.5lbs - how much does she weigh now? Would love to go out some time - name a day and I will again strive to find a babysitter!!

Hi, will drop you a mail.

DD's due to start in April, but I need to talk to the Ed Psych who's done her report [guilty emoticon as Ed psych left voicemail for me to contact her 2 weeks ago].

27lbs - she's getting rather rotund!! We're going to drop a Paediasure feed so she'll go from 4 to 3 a day, and then keep an eye on her weight. Have to say as a result of all the paed intervention I've got rather obsessed with her weight.

ps - really fantastic news about your dd and her climbing
