I have just received a letter from the consultant community paediatrician informing me that DS has an appointment on the 13th of January! I'm so happy, finally after all of my hassling and nagging the health professionals I've managed to get him an appointment, after being told I'd need to wait 6 years!

Thank you so much everyone for all of your advice.

Be well prepared with your written list of concerns and your written list of questions, oh yes, and your written list of what you want the meeting to achieve! Grin

Well done i hate, Sadly it is well known on here that you often have to go on and on and on and on to get anywhere with the Proffs.

Your persistance has paid off and I hope your appointment goes well.

Yours too salad.

Agree with ellen about notes, notes and more notes. The 2nd Paed we saw for Dd3 took one look at all my paperwork and said " No need to ask where the ASD comes from then!!!" Huh, don't know what she meantGrin.

Sadly despite the fact that I think she knew Dd3 was on the spectrum, she failed to Dx her and I still had 2 years worth of fighting to go.

What ever happens on the the 6th good luck and keep fightingSmile.
