Why do I bother... really? Stupid SN bashers

I cannot believe we are 2 days past Christmas and it starts off again on MN. Stupid wretched people going off about how "conduct disorders" are taught to children by their parents.

I really want MN to start pulling these types of things. I'm getting tired of seeing them.

It's gone! What was rather disturbing was that the OP is on this board sometimes. Sad

Triggles · 27/12/2011 16:29

Yes, it is. But at least it's gone. Thank you MNHQ.

Anyway... I hope Christmas was at least bearable in the Triggles house, with no SIL troubles.

Santas, I hope your Christmas was lovely!

Mine was great, lots of TV time cuddled up on the sofa with the boys. They've been at dickhead's yesterday and today, though, but are back tonight... Xmas Smile

Dustinthewind · 27/12/2011 16:42

maryz, a light in the darkness again. Xmas Grin

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 27/12/2011 16:43

That's true, Maryz. Though I did recognise a lot of the supportive names...

Dustinthewind · 27/12/2011 16:43

'Oh well, onwards and upwards.'

And sometimes straight through the middle.

Ellenjane Christmas at our house was brilliant, really. DH did all the cooking, MIL & I relaxed with the boys. It was just us and MIL at our house. Other than DS2's chicken pox, not a blip in sight. Just waiting for DS3 to come down with the chicken pox now. Xmas Grin Glad your Christmas went well.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 27/12/2011 17:36

That's a relief, then Triggles! Shame about the pox, but at least he won't have to have loads of time off school. There's about a 2 week incubation period, if I remember, and sibling 2 often gets it worse due to prolonged exposure to sibling 1 during infectious period. Sorry! Xmas Grin

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 27/12/2011 17:40

Sorry to hear there's been another awful thread. I was out this afternoon so I think I missed it, or posted on it before it all kicked off?! Hope everyone's OK x

Dustinthewind · 27/12/2011 17:42

It was deeply stupid and unoriginal. No change from the usual, really.

Triggles · 27/12/2011 17:46

I expect DS3 to have a healthy dose of it anyway, as he has eczema as well. Ah well. We're armed with stuff to deal with it all now. Grin DS2 has been pretty good through it all, which we weren't expecting. But yes, I was actually relieved it has been over the holidays as he has missed a fair bit of school this year due to illness and appointments.

I commented on that horrid thread earlier, (last i read it was a case of supernanny armies being suggested to cure conduct disorders that had been taught to children by parents that had been in care Hmm) but when I checked it again it had been deleted, it's probably best to not find out what else had been said though. Was the poster being serious? The more hopeful part of me thought it may have been a troll setting out to cause an argument rather than someones actual views.

WilsonFrickett · 27/12/2011 18:01

Oh, I had a look at that one an hour or so ago and was quite pleased with the majority of the posts. Apart from the OP most were supportive, and I didnt recognise all the supportive names either. OP was unpleasant though.

ChippingInLovesChristmasLights · 27/12/2011 18:06

Oh well, as you say Mary, more good posts than bad and it was deleted sharpish so that's a start!

So, what's the weather like where you are?
