Feel like utter poo today. Got on a bus this morning to go to the gym. I have a free pass. Getting on the bus, the driver commented on how on earth will I cope when they take my pass away? I asked what he meant and got a tirade about how the passes should only be for the elderly, and lots about how I shouldn't be taking from the system if I've not been paying tax into it, etc. And how disability doesn't mean you should get a free pass, how I should pay for my journeys (at £1.90 each way, I'd have to cut down how much I went out) and a load of other stuff.

Nearly made me cry :(

how horrible lollipop, you ok? Ignore the ignorant arse, don't let him get to you!

LollipopViolet · 22/12/2011 16:08

Yeah, I'm alright. I've held a pass since I was about 16, so was more shocked as it's the first ANYONE has ever said to me regarding it!

Put it this way, the gym was very therapeutic today! And I finally got a new ring with my Argos vouchers after finding out the one my lovely boyfriend got me was the wrong size :) Sparkly things always help! :)

Ive held a pass since I was 16 for epilepsy. I've had several drivers comment as to why on earth I need a pass I usually ignore and tell them its none of their damn business however on one particularly narky day I did tell a regular horrid driver that I had terrible pyschotic episodes and could not be trusted to drive and then I sat at the front of the bus making random comments to myself for the rest of the journey :) he's always been polite to me since :)
