I am very much a lurker on here, but following your stories, learning the jargon and seeing the advice shared over the past 5 months has been so helpful for me and the journey my family are currently on.
Merry Christmas and onwards and upwards into the New Year...
(Sorry to hear about the chicken pox though, hope all is well very soon)

Merry Christmas to all! Thanks for your support both through DS's ongoing DX and therapies and my own health issues which now seem to be resolving themselves after surgery so I'm looking forward to a fit and healthy New Year and a long awaited DX for DS. Boo to another alcohol free Christmas for me though - here's some Wine for the rest of you!

Thankyou to everyone on here,just by shareing all your knowledge,advice or just even kind words you have kept me sane through sticky patches.With the help from you lot i feel like we have climbed mountains this year and whenever i go into meetings at school or pead appointments im a much more confident mum who can now get the best help for her son.
So i wish you all a very fab christmas and an uneventfull 2012 Wine

Have only been here a short while, our journey from referral to DX (ASD) has been less than 6 months, but, because of the knowledge and advice you all give, and keep giving, I know feel very empowered and in control of my sons future.

I post very infrequently but read daily and gain alot of strength and advice from this board. My eldest DS is closer to accepting a dx which will help him get the support he badly needs in school (with help from an amazing autism outreach teacher!)

It has been a long, scary year worrying about ds, and finding ourselves in a situation we never imagined.

I cannot imagine how much more difficult it all would have been without this board.

I have also only posted a few times but read daily.
Just want to say thanks because I have found that reading other people's experiences has been so helpful for me in coping with an otherwise difficult situation. Helps give me much needed perspective.
