Straterra...................anyone have any experience of this drug for a child with ADHD?

Consultant wishes to start DS aged 7 on this next week. Any comments would be gratefully received.

My son was on strattera it helped his ADHD syptoms but it made him feel sick all the time so we had to change to a different medication.

DS1 has been taking strattera for just over a year, now. He has ASD and ADHD and suffers from extreme anxiety and loses his appetite very easily, which is why he was prescribed this as first choice. It's made a huge difference to him. It made him really tired for a few days, but after that time, his ability to communicate with us really improved (including his ability to mither) and he found the abilty to actually do his school work and do fun things like build lego city models.

ds12 has been on strattera for a few years and it improved his adhd symptoms. However it did make him lose his appetite for a while as he felt sick. That passed and he was fine.
