just got back from a meeting at school . ds2 is 12 and i have struggled with him badly for the last 18 months . Really low self esteem , saying he will kill himself, big meltdowns etc
School are saying that he has the potential but wont get down to doing the work. he doesnt get on with others in his year group and hes forever telling lies and saying things like his dad will come to school and shoot everyone , that his mum is dead ,that he lives in a massive posh house etc

apparently a boy in his year said to some others look at ds2 new jacket its well good and ds2 was so pleased he looked like he was getting emotional according to the teacher.
anyway we have been under camhs for ages and they are now going to go and observe ds2 in school.
school have just said that they will see how that goes and then they will want to have a meeting where i tell them all ds2 history i.e right from birth and mentioned caf or something ???
i just dont know what to think. i dont know what the problem with ds2 is and i dont know what school are meaning / planning

sorry if this is all rambly

CAF is just a multi-agency meeting. So school will be there, and you, and CAMHS and possibly someone else.

Sounds like school are recognising there's something going on and are trying to work out what they can do to support him.
