how do i get a family support worker ??

my daughter is 10, she was diagnosed autistic when she was 4, since being 5 years old we have had no help of any kind from anywhere, and now shes getting older i feel we need help,advice anything

You could be referred via the school. Unfortunately, this means that they will have to hold a team around the Child meeting which are hell to organise. Alternatively you could try your GP but they will probablly refer to CAHMS who seem to be fairly useless in most areas judging by comments I've seen on here. Social Services???? no experience of this but someone else might be better than me.

Ask the Head at your primary school. They should know how to access this stuff.

do you get dla for your dd, if your classed as your dd main carer then you can contact social services and tell them you want a carers assessment and you want your dd needs assessed as well this should trigger support, don't bother with camhs as they told my dd sw they don't do support, hth

Why do you want one? What sort of help are you seeking? Family support workers have different jobs in different areas.
