So the festive season is here and looking ds book shelf - he defo needs an update. He reads well and likes a bedtime story. My dh bought him the Roald Dahl collection - and they read The Twits and George's Marvellous Medicine and he enjoyed them. He hasn't been very interested in any of the others. I'm keen to move him on to the next level of reading and he is bored of all his old books - I do think he still needs that visual representation of the story or maybe audio could work - any ideas ladies

What about the 'how to train your dragon' books? As he seems to like fiction and imaginative stories.....

Or 'Percy Jackson'

Give us some more clues as to what he likes.... :)

DS1 loves the Astrosaurs stories and Jeremy strong - the characters really appeal to his whacky sense of humour.

dinosaur cove series, beastquest series, asterix/tintin comic books, or on a more literary note some of the asier michael morpugos

Definitely Jeremy Strong, and if you can stomach it...Captain Underpants goes down a storm.

The Cornelia Funke books are good, Dragonheart etc.
Ds2 also liked Michael Lawrence and even Pratchett at that age (Wee Free Men).
