Please give your kids an extra cuddle tonight.............

Just been to collect ds from nursery at his special school. The staff were all in shock as one of the pupils died suddenly yesterday, he was only 7. His mum put him down for a nap and he died in his sleep - totally unexpected.

The concert and party due to be held this week have been postponed out of respect for the family.

I will be holding on tight to ds today.

Sad how awful, my thoughts are with his family. Hows your DS? is he able to understand whats happened?

DS hasn't got a clue, they were in the same class earlier in the term but it's beyond his understanding (thankfully). The school party is for siblings too, DD has been looking forward to it for weeks as she wants to have a good look around ds school. I'm not looking forward to explaining to her when she gets home.

your right,even with all our childrens difficulties we are very lucky to have them...
ds will certainly have an extra cuddle tonite.

I always check my boys are breathing when i go up to sleep. We lost a girl at school in the same way. I've never forgotten - and that was 34 years ago.

Very sad. Sad Two of DS2's fellow pupils from his special school died while he was there. Heartbreaking.
