Ok I just had to let you all know,

Dd3 went to The Brownie weekend and had a great time, she didn't get much sleep [pretty average]. She ate well and enjoyed all the activities.

She even told us lots about it on the way home.

I am so pleased that her first experience away from home was a good one and I have the well organised and really understanding leaders to thank for it.

She did make me laugh though when I said to her I was really glad she had enjoyed it and would she like to go again sometime she said "No".

Thanks to everyone who held my hand on Friday night.

So glad she had a good time - and you survived the anxiety!! I'm never letting DS2 go away for a weekend. Yup, I'll be the one stressing out about in a few years' time... I suppose we all go through it at some point, eh?

Ds1 loved his outward bound weekend, as you know. He even cried when he had to leave and again several times over the next few weeks when he thought about never seeing the place again - but he's still adamant he doesn't want to go on the one at the beginning of year 6.

Wait and see, Ineed. I expect she thinks you mean going again sometime soon and she's had enough to last her for now! Give her a year or so. Well done Ineedajunior, and even more so for you for surviving.

Thanks all, I have to admit that I spent much of the weekend shopping online from the comfort of my sofa.

I actually found myself enjoying my first weekend off in 9 years.LOL.

I will keep my fingers crossed that she does decide to go away again at some point because I think it was really good for her to go and come back and see that we were all still here just the same as when she went.
